Puro Rofe - Masdache Blanco 2019

The 2019 Masdache was produced with a Listan Blanco-based field blend from the Masdache village of La Geria en Lanzarote that has Malvasia and Diego grapes. Half of the volume was pressed directly and put ot ferment with all the solids, and the rest was macerated for one daywith destemmed but uncrushed grapes. It fermented in barrique where it matured for seven months. This is a little wilder than the Tilama, the profile of the zone and the varietal mix. The palate is super pungent, intense and clean, with a fine grained texture and a salty finish. This is pretty amazing. Only 700 bottles were filled in June of 2020. 94 points - Luis Gutierrez.
