Damiano Ciolli - Botte Ventidue 2018

Grapes: 70% Trebbiano Verde / 30% Ottonese
A full flavoured wine with notes of ripe peach, honey and vanilla. Rich but not heavy on the palate with the ripe flavours balanced by a backbone of fresh saline acidity.
A blend of Trebbian Verde Ottonese, two white indigenous grapes from Olevano Romano, grown in two vineyard blocks planted in different periods and trained in a traditional way. Fermentation is in old foudre with a further 11 month maturation gross lies in the same cask. The wine is racked and settled in concrete vat for one month before bottling.
The wine is named after the foudre that it is made in, being the 22nd in the cellar.
