This vintage is a blend of coda di volpe bianco and greco from Montemarano, which has a very different type of soil to that of the Greco di Tufo zone, mostly calcareous marl with limestone and clay. Five days maceration on skins then part goes to chestnut botti and part into amphora. A bit more rustic than the 2019s but an absolute pleasure to drink.
