Philippe Chevarin - Le Fleuve 2019
Region: Coteaux d'Ancenis / Loire Valley
Grapes: Melon de Bourgogne
Quince into nashi, exotic stone fruit, citrus skin, pears and fruit high notes. The phenolics are gentle, and integrated really well. There’s a wisp of spice. Minerality dances, its got sass and verve. Layered yet fine, beautifully balanced. And the length, it is magnificent.
NERD NOTES
100% Melon Bourgogne from a single site next to the river. The fruit was de-stemmed and macerated for 3 days. 8 months on lees.
